Great carts right price

Recommended Posts

I'd just like to share some info about the last batch of carts I have just finished shooting

When It was time for some carts I decided that I was going to do what my dad does and go tothe shop and buy a 1000 of the best cartridge deal I could buy...

This meant putting my ideas about brand aside and and being put in the hands of the guy behind the counter when it came to it "HIS DEAL OF THE DAY"..

I ended up with some 30 gram 6's by gamebore. Theycame in at 200 quid plus vat and where in gamebore pure gold boxes but the cases where a dark blue and had gamebore and the shop name stamped up the side..

I would normally have bought 5's but quickly realised the value in buying the 6's as the difference in price was quite considerable...

I can now go on to say that these cartridges are absolutely fantastic value for money and are more than capable of killing most quarry's in that I have shot extremely well with them on pigeons, rabbits ,pheasants and partridge Whilst also taking some rangey shots with great results

I went back in to get some more one afternoon while passing the shop and ended up getting some of the 28gram in the same cart as they had no 30's in at the time and I can honestly say I notice no difference in the killing power.. I have now even started shooting them at clays as opposed to my usual 7.5's and found them a great cart..

I was just wonderling if anyone else shoots them and how they find them?...

Is it just me or are they really just a good cart at the right price???

Mike,

Is that £200+ VAT for 1000 cartridges?

I shoot gamebore since I work within sight of the old gamebore shot dropping tower. They tend to run among the cheapest in this area for some reason, so I have no problem buying them. I'm not cartridge specific- I'll use anything from 28-36 g, so I take whatever is cheapest available. Last batch was clear pigeons and before special pigeons and they all tend to run in the £5-£5.50 range per box (including VAT) so that is my price benchmark.

Thanks,

Rick

Wel guys looks like we need to get the price of a 1000 carts sorted cos someone is taking the ####

I'll start mine were 200 quid all in. Sorry it was my typo when I said + vat I meant inc vat. And I bought them in august last year

What do you pay? (100£ a 1000) aimed at floating chamber??

Do you steel your lead from the church roof then.???

I thought about it but isn't that illegal :D
