RoBeRt1990
Approximately 1125 ft/s
bedwards1966
Something to be aware of, when they slow down from supersonic to subsonic the sound boom catches them up and causes them to wobble/throws them off course, it reduces their accuracy compared to either subsonic or a proper supersonic round like HMR. I don't know at what point this happens though.
Shropshire_Lad
Around a 100 yds from memory, just when any advantage of higher vel would be good. atvb Paul.
kent
Worse accurraccy at 100yds for sure. Problem is as mentioned the transonic zone. They will each enter it at a slightly different range and this will also change with climate and altitude. Usefull in an awkward Auto thats about it
Underdog
My little 9422 love most HV 22 and especialy Eley's HV range. Don't go off opininated clap trap, some HV ammo may in your rifle as in mine be of benifit in certain circumstance, like lamping rabbit on a very windy night. The Eley HP HV works well on close fox's too. U.
39TDS
My 39 seems to prefer HVs too. My ears don't!
Shropshire_Lad
You do have to try them for yourself, my cz liked cci velocitors, shot well out to a 100yds or so. Side by side with subs I saw no gain in the wind and spent a lot of time plinking with them both, all good fun and part of finding things out for yourself atvb Paul. Underdog
Men you have a point. The wind advantage is slight. I find it an advantage under 50yds in a wind, I should of added U.
