njc110381
I handled one in the shop when I was looking to get my first .223. I really didn't like the feel of the gun as it was very muzzle heavy - more so than other varmint barrelled guns that I'd picked up. Having said that I've owned a T3 sporter and the trigger was lovely, it was accurate and never gave me any trouble. So if you're shooting off of a bipod or don't mind the muzzle heavy feel of the gun then quality wise it's going to be pretty good for the money. EDIT... Which Ase mod? Make sure you get a .22 specific one, so not the S5 or Northstar. A .25 or .30 mod really lacks performance in comparison to a .22 specific version. shoot57
i have a t3 varmint in 243 and i love it, on the end of the varmint barrel i have a wildcat moderator and when you add a large scope it makes the setup very heavy, so if you are stalking with it for a long day i hope you have strong shoulders but i use mine from a vehicle most of the time and the short barrel is very nice, if i lost it tomorrow i would go straight out and buy another and another and another....... Dekers
I have the T3 Lite in .223, it does everything I want in the field now, took a hell of a lot of work over 2 years to get some balance into it, but 8 V Bulls and 2 Bulls at 600yards with a new shooter, cheap scope, cold barrel and development load says it works! Out of interest why the Varmint, I personally see no benefit at all in that for field work, just a heavier lump to carry around! All my rifles are light, they all work for me, but we all have our preferences!

steve_b_wales
I have a T3 Lite in .243 flavour, but with my S&B Zenith scope, Reflex T8 moderator and Harris Bipod attached, it's no longer 'lite'. Very accurate though.
