39TDS
Got myself all prepared for a lamping outing this evening on foot. This is with my BRNO .22, opened the box of bullets and there were 21 in it. When I reload i like to do it 5 at a time, it's easier to tip them out of the packet that way. Just slide the plastic bit out a bit and tip a whole row of 5 into my hand. Done it so many times in the dark it is just second nature. Anyway, this odd one messed it up a bit, so decided one up the spout and a full mag soon sorts that and off I went. First rabbit, bit of a long shot but took a chance on it. Unfortunately missed. Saw some others at the far end of the field and decided to go for a very long walk and come back to them with the wind in my face. Far end of the farm was another rabbit. Got him in the crosshairs, pulled the trigger, click! That's strange, I'm sure I worked the bolt after the last shot. Recock by just opening and closing the bolt, aim again and just get a click again. Hmmm. That usually works. Of course the rabbit decided not to wait around for me fioffin about any longer. Maybe when I worked the bolt it didn't catch the bullet in the mag. Rare, but it has been known. Sure enough, the bolt hadn't caught the bullet in the mag. It's not very likely to when the mag is sat on the sideboard in the house is it.

39TDS
Biggest downer is that if I had done it last night at least I would have seen the meteor.

phaedra1106
How could you possibly manage to forget to bring it with you? Surely you'd notice a missing sideboard!
