Fisherman Mike
After watching last nights game in which the Boys from Basque well and truly put united to the sword on their home patch it looks very much that united will end up with nothing in the cabinet this season. A top club like united is judged on success on the European stage and its no coincidence that they have been completely outplayed by Spanish teams in the last two seasons. Some of Fergies selection and tactical decisions have baffled me as much as die hard Munc supporters. Should he call it a day and admit that he no longer cuts the mustard before the club degenerates even further on the world stage.?

Some of Fergies selection and tactical decisions have baffled me as much as die hard Munc supporters. Should he call it a day and admit that he no longer cuts the mustard before the club degenerates even further on the world stage.? Will you get a job or something, what a stupid suggestion. We lost a game last night and nothing more. We played a very inexperienced back four last night and that showed. We undoubtedly were outplayed last night but this can happen every know and then even at a club like Manchester United. Too suggest we can only be judged by our European success is laughable, the premier league is the best league in the world and were still with a great chance of winning that. Look at the champions league we have Apoel Nicosia in the quater finals, look at how many times they've won the European cup. Cup games are a lottery by and large, even a team who's flying high in the league are capable of being knocked out of big cup competitions. We havent had a settled back four all season which has been the main cause of our problems. Expectations are huge at a club like United and whenever we lose, uneducated deluded people are suggest that something must be seriously wrong. Now to your suggestion of Sir Alex stepping down, simply catch a grip.

Ireland's Finest!
You must be either bored out of your mind or just lead a sad life to even bother putting up such threads. You also seem to have a very unhealthy obsession with Manchester united, who is it you support Mike? Obviously a lower league team which doesn't enjoy much success. kdubya
time to accept the fact that Man U are NOT the team they once were, sorry but that's the way I see it, they win in the league due to the "Man U effect" I.E physchology rather than ability, the spicks did not fear them and put them to the sword as for the jones in the No4 shirt they would be better off with tom!! -Mongrel-
we dont care were man utd............. Precisely..... So who do you support now then if you were Man Utd? I also like the way that they are so good they are not even worthy of capitalisation. Yeah yeah I know, pedantic, but I support a proper foot ball club, the mighty West Ham and I really don't give a XXXX! bullet boy
I couldn't care less about them! My beloved Liverpool is my team and arch rivals to the Mancs! I am concerned about Rangers well being though!
Devon Fox
Listen - by Your reckoning again Mike, every team below United must be steaming piles of dog sausages! We have some very good, young, full of potential English players in the squad. We will turn the tie around, how many other teams would come close? West Ham - what a joke, I cant wait to have them back in the Prem' next Season, lets see how a "A proper team fairs "
Thunderbird
On a slightly different note I've always thought it a little odd that people 'support' a football club that they have no established connection to, of course other than the fact that they have appeared to just pick the team that was winning at the time. I grew up supporting Bristol Rovers. They were my local team, my dad knew the manager (Don Megson) and my brother and I used to spend many saturday afternoons in the bar at Eastville, we were even allowed in the player's tunnel. Some gagi at school would say something like 'Arsenal are better than Rovers' and even then I used to wonder at the idiocy of that statement. Like claiming British Airways is better than Cotswold Aero Club. People say 'we this' and 'we that' like they belong to these massive clubs. What % of (for example) Manchester United fans have actually seen them play? I don't want to get into the whole 'real fan' thing but, like I said, just thought it was odd. So you say pal I have been to Old Trafford plenty of times. 4/5 times a Year (I did not have a choice in club and have family in the area, not that it matters a jot, growing up when Liverpool won everything, remember Uniteds stint in the 2nd division. Just look at the original poster, a West ham fan from Glos? a Liverpool fan (sorry BB) from Wales, so Your point is what? the fact is we have more fans around the country than other clubs, great stuff, more money, more players = a fair share of titles We have the best Manager in the country, make no mistake
Whitebridges
I'm old enough to remember that Man U were related from the top flight 1973/74 season. One of the reasons was old over the top players and poor management. They were **** last night and they have the same problems. I can see a few of their better players jumping ship in the not too distant future.

-Mongrel-
Mighty, West & Ham, three words you'd put good money on never seeing in the same sentence....... Ahahahaha, you're obviously not as old as your username would suggest!!!! I remember the Hammer's glory days and have been a fan for as long if not longer, where were United then? What goes around comes around, West ham will be there to trouble you again and not just as a bogey team that you struggled to beat, and Man Utd's flame will inevitably dwindle in due course...think I'm talking tosh? Take a look at Spurs and City's current revival. ...and on the bright side, I don't need a second mortgage to buy a season ticket to watch a match...assuming I can fight my way past the corporate 'fans'. JR1960
Oh that old ****, I've supported Utd for 45 years, including while Leeds and then Liverpool were top dog, while they were in Div 2 and went to see them play a lot years ago. I also used to go and watch Norwich regularly, but I prefer to watch football....... Edited March 9, 2012 by JR1960

Nobody will jump, pushed maybe, but not jump! there will be more good young additions made, Sir AF always has an eye for the future, its not the first time I have read/heard these sort of opinions in the past - And it has usually, more often than not, been rammed right up there ring pieces

Oh right, so you're slating West Ham who have won a few championships over the years but are not in the running at the moment, but when it comes to Utd's second division exploits, well that's all a part of the greatness of the team? What a load of double standard ********! Atypical of your blinkered football fanatic, can't see the wood for the trees.
