Dekers
mine loved Eley subsonic's for field use or Wolf Match & cci standard velocity for target I have used the Wolf CF ammo but I have never seen the wolf .22lr, where do you get them? Are they any good?
Dekers
i used the winchester subsonics, 4 quid ish for 50, half inch group at 50yards Is that still the price, I use Magtech subs, but the price has gone daft recently, 3-4 years back they were £3.50-£4.00 x 100, now they are nearly £11 x 100. I like them but I need to check out a few more brands again, to be honest I never was a fan of the Eley subs, they shoot ok but the HP is tiny and there is little expansion generally! So Winchester are worth a go, BIG HP as well! Edited March 10, 2012 by Dekers
wulliewinky
Yeah I found Winchester a lot more effective, last I bought them they were £4.20 for 50 but that was about six months ago, changed over to .17 HMR
bicykillgaz
4 years ago i was paying £22.00-25.00 for 500 eley last time i got 500 i paid £58.00 and was told the next lot was likely to be more so i might see if i can find something cheaper to feed it. it liked cci's when i first got it what do they retail at now? Winnies are ok through mine but have inconsistent hp depths to the point where I've had some with just a dimple instead of a hollow, i took the last 400 back so im reluctant to use them again.
