dunganick
Right well its only a month away now so a few things, If your shooting clays on the day, you will need to have the other 60% (£22.80) with you in an envelope with your name on it (exact change please). If you havent donated your deposit of £4.80 for an extra range then i will return it to you when you turn up. When everyone turns up they will need to find me so i know they are actually there. I will be by our 2 lanes on the 100 yard range from about 8.45 onwards. the below is a map to bisley http://www.nra.org.uk/common/files/directions.pdf When you get there (please correct me if i'm wrong as its been a while since i was on short siberia) you will need to follow your nose down the main road (in the camp), you will then pass a little white gun shop - Foultons(on a left turn just after a speed bump) after which is a road going right. You need to take this road, it should bring you out to century (600 and 300yrds) you then need to follow the road which is goes around the range (on your right). If you follow this road you should come to a car park (if i recall) and this will be the 100 yard car park. *Can someone who has been on short siberia recently confirm this for me* Clay shooting will be at 1.00 (although i might try and move it to 12.30) and according to the piece of gubbins i have it will finish at 3.00 (i thought it was 1 hour though .... will ring them tomorrow) We will be using the clay ground around the back of the Range we are shooting on (as opposed to the normal one by the clock tower) How we get there i am not so sure, but again i will find out. Once clays is done we will have 2.5hrs untill the end of the rifle shooting for the day (5.30) i would intend to make this competition time.... if no one objects and will set up a few comps for us all to make a fools of ourselves over. at 5.30 we will start to pack up and i suppose head off to the campsite (about 3/4mile away from the range) and i do still need to know numbers for camping At the moment i believe it is: Me LB Deadeye Ive Miffy Sussex Lad Margate Shooter Sussex lads' dad StuartP Deadeye Ive (sorry if you have contacted me and ive missed your name.... i have a memory like a gold fish) I need to also remind you that all people attending must be BASC members (as the range was booked via BASC) i think that about covers it. any questions just ask (im sure i missed something)
Dunkield
Those directions are pretty spot on Nick, if anyone can't it from that (and the map) they deserve to be shot - and they probably will be if they wander off course Here is a map of the camp, you will be heading up Kings Way and then Century Way, onve you can't go any further turn right and then just keep going and going and you will end up in the shorts car park. Don't be decieved by the last map, as 99% of the time you can't access Long or Short Siberia from Queens Road as the gates are locked. apbuild
Correct on all counts nick. At the bottom of the road by Fultons, before you turn right, there is a little hut where you can get breakfast baps and coffees if anyone needs to. Looking forward to the day. Unfortunately, I may have to leave a bit earlier as I have to drive the family up to Norfolk for a weeks holiday when I get back to Oxfordshire. Rob. Dunkield
That will be me then LB LB, Try this, once you get to the entrance of the camp, follow the red line on the map (the road itself isn't red, it's a sort of grey colour )
