Chr15j
Well here I am sat in a field using my new viper for the 1st time in anger! 1st shot, I didn't trust the rangefinder on the scope, I aimed high and shot went high! 2nd shot, 1 very dead bunny at about 50 yards. I'm now a happy bunny Watch this space
Chr15j
Another 50 yard headshot! Light failing and still operating at 24x zoom
Chr15j
40 yard headshot! Had to use the ir on this one (well I decided to) spotted it at 12x then wound it up to 24x for the kill! Impressed and the ir helped! This is a cracking scope Edited March 29, 2012 by Chr15j

Chr15j
Was wondering if anyone was out there! Only criticism of viper so far is mag ring is a bit stiff for my liking, but I can quite easily live with that. Now waiting for natural light to fail so I can benefit from ambient sodium lights from road! And yes gents I'm shooting safe, how does a 20 foot high backstop sound! Catweazle
24x mag is very high for 40 and 50yds. I like to use 6.5x - 10x. Try it, it's plenty and you'll get a wider field of view as well as a brighter picture.
Chr15j
I know but having fun with new scope! Fov is less than length of a gate post but it's nice and clear!
Bry-M
Sounds like an all singing all dancing scope! Powerful zoom, rangefinder, night vision... Bet that wasn't cheap
Chr15j
When I say range finder, it's hit side focus for parallax, more range guesstimator (it works) It's an mtc viper 6-24x56 ir and its a great but of kit About £250 new but I picked it up from a fellow pw'er for less result! No night vision just carrots!

Chr15j
Well a grand total of 13 bunnies bashed with my new scope. I fluffed a couple of shots (poor range estimation in the dark) but out of practice, but scope was a gem. Also christened my new hippo (freelander) tonight, think its 1st time ever off road! Won't be the last!!!
