arjimlad
Following on from the Mungler thread, I've only seen an ocelot once, in a zoo. My interaction with said animal might have been more satisfying had I known the correct way to pronounce it's name. Ta v much
fiiish1987
I believe i've heard Sir David Attenborough pronounce it oss-el-ot. I've always presumed it's like that, although i bet there's a fair few who pronounce it the other way just to be awkward *******!

arjimlad
It seems that no-one thinks it is oh-sell-oh, so in future, I shall pronouce it ossellott. Thanks to all who posted. The disadvantage of being fluent in French is that I see more ways of pronunciation. My german studies once led me to pronounce Titleist as ***-Leist on a golf course.
