went out stalking after dinner last night to peice of ground i have that has showen some nice bucks lately . its quite a hard bit to shoot as the bit that the deer like is in the far corner of the repa fieldand to get a good back stop you have to walk right along the wood to get to a good shooting position .i got in to position with out any fuss and set up and waited at 6.55pm a young buck jumped the fence about 80 yards from me and almost staight away he offered a broad side shot i sqeezed the trigger and he jumped spun round and hit the fence dead .after i had cleaned him i thought i would just sit it out till dusk and see if anything else would show .

i was just about to call it a night at 8.30pm and seen movement by this time it was getting dark quickly in the rape about 150 yards down the field a nice buck with an abnormal set of antlers the wind was right over my sholder and was sure he would wind me but he worked his was up the field to me at 100yards he moved into a rather bald patch of rape that gave me a good chance of getting a shot at him he turned to the left and started to head back to cover i gave him a whistle and he stopped long enough for me to rattle his ribs with a 55gr sako that dropped him on the spot he was 43lb clean and the first buck was 33lb

forgot to take my phone so took some snaps when i got home and today in propper light

Cracking couple of bucks fella, and would like to see the abnorm when he's cleaned up.Looks pretty big and very unique.Your right enough about the continentals wanting them, and the krauts especially are keen on them and pay good money.

How's the weather with you?Shocking up here still and can't get an hour withoot a shower.Managed a buck yesterday morn, evening and this morning but it's nay the same withoot a wee bit of sun.3-0 against a bankrupt pub team, shocking. :D
