captainhastings
Hi has any one tried these ear plugs ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sonic-2-Hearing-Protection-Ear-Plugs-Shotgun-Rifle-Shooting-Clay-Field-II-/370602924475?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item5649a7d9bb They sound quite good and only block the harmful boom rather than every thing. Been out 3 times since getting the gun with ears stuffed with cotton wool but the ears are painful the next day so I am not going again until I get ear protection sorted. Any other recommendations welcome Thank you
bicykillgaz
I've got them but never use them as I find them uncomfortable after a short period, i usually use some cheap foam plugs if I'm not planing on too many shots but if Im decoying i use plugs and a pair of peltor optime2 ear defenders over the top which more than does the job. chrispti
I have some. They are ok, they block out the worst of the bang. You can still have a conversation and hear relatively well. They are also very uncomfortable, I would suggest cutting the small end ring off and fit some of the little rubber ear pieces that you get with mobile phone headphones. Makes them 100 times more comfortable and will enable you to wear them all day without discomfort. There are better ones available, but if you are on a budget, then something is better than nothing Edited April 23, 2012 by chrispti

Cosd
Had mine a while now, they are uncomfortable to start with, but they do soften up after some time. I wear mine all day now with no problems with comfort. These new type the clear ones are supposed to be more comfortable.

-Mongrel-
That's the badgers I was talking about I may order another set Yeah, I use them as well and find them comfortable and effective. I use them 'unplugged' for a round of sporting clays most of the time but, if it's getting a bit much the inserted plug makes them very good at blocking the bangs, however you then struggle a bit with conversation. WelshLamb
I just wear the el cheapo ones, often available from dispensers at the doorway onto factory floors (joys of being a lorry driver, I often fill my pockets with them!!)
