Hi all, just realised that those who frequent this section may not be aware of the upcoming Pigeon Watch North v South Charity Shoot at Orston on Saturday 2nd June :good:

It will be 100 bird sporting, with a charity raffle and some excellent prizes at the end of the day, plus putting to bed for another year, the debate of whether the best shooters come from the North or the South of the country

The signup thread and further details are available here: http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/203314-pw-north-vs-south-charity-clay-pigeon-shoot-sign-up-now/ Or post on this topic, be great to see you all there, this is the third year of the event, and the series is tied 1-1 between North and South victories!

Need to double check dates but if I'm about I'll be there

Excellent news Ed!

Chady, those in the middle can decide their own allegiance. If you are undecided there is a fairly simple test you can do. If you have a flat cap, a whippet and race pigeons at weekends then you are a Northerner :good: If you drink shandy, complain about the weather, and wear a jumper in winter then you are probably a Southerner

The cost is £50, this is £35 for the clays and a bacon roll, and £15 donation which will go to the Charity (Different Strokes). To register for the day you need to pay in advance, this is possible via bank transfer, cheque or paypal :good:

  • 3 weeks later...

Excellent, but (despite my northern upbringing and inherent tightness) I was joking :good:

I feel bad now

As recompense how does one go about donating something for the raffle?

Iggy,

Send a PM direct to Teal.

Phil
