throdgrain
Ive got some 50gr bb's for foxes, but same thing, Ive not seen a fox since. (They do make a rabbit a bit inedible though ... )
al4x
I'd say about the same a heavy load of 2's does the job. Patterning of the heavier shot becomes a bit more hit and miss but having said that I've in the past when shooting muntjack have used SSG's and its amazing how well they kill but haven't used them past 30 yards

henry d
I wouldn`t try using the SG`s too gapy,I did use them on young bullocksthat were sick at 3-5 yds it took them down no probs, however you had to be spot on or the pellets would over penetrate them and make a BIG hole in the barn only did it once, after that we did it in the paddock. badsworth
Whats wrong with 1oz slugs? - if they good enough for wild boar they good enough for charlie! There is nothing wrong with them - as long as you have a FAC, SG choked 'True Cylinder' and with appropriate sights. B
