Steve72
I have currently an over an under and a nice break barrel air rifle . However to complete my own collection I would like a semi and a SXS . What are differences in the berretta 300 models as this is the semi I am after . Seems to receive good comments and some sensible priced guns to be had?
mudpatten
Assuming you mean the old Beretta 300 series, rather than the new A300 Outlander, the differences between the 301,302,303 and 304 are, as far as I recall, minimal and largely cosmetic. The 304 had a short production run and was replaced by the 390 series. They are quite uncommon by comparison to the others. The parts for the different models are interchangeable, including the barrel and the internals are the same. They are all a strongly constructed gas operated design that has stood up well to the passage of time. Only thing to be aware of is that they were discontinued before Beretta adopted the "universal" 3" chamber and, unless you come across one of the less common and longer 3" barrels, they are all 2 3/4"(70mm)chambered. Gordon R
I think up to the 302 had drop in chokes with a retaining ring on the outside of the barrel. Perfectly okay, but looked rather clumsy. 303 had screw in chokes, which were not as noticeable. All fine guns.

Deepwater17
I have had a 301 for 25 years, had to have it restricted from 5 rounds to 2 + 1 years ago. It has seen better days (woodwork tatty and the barrel rib is a bit bent), but it has done the biz and has swallowed manufactured rounds and also my own reloads without complaint. As far as I am concerned it is a good solid reliable motor that is AlMOST Impossible to ****** up.
wj939
There are 301'syou around who's owners claim to have put over 100kit shots through. I dare say they will be working long after we are gone
Alex1Nat2
I've got two 303's & 3 different barrels. Brilliant reliable kit. I use the older one for pigeons & on the marsh. Cycled 200 21gm cartridges yesterday as I was giving some scouts some clay busting lessons. Only problem I've found is they don't like 65mm cartridges, it doesn't matter what load.
