M ROBSON
I went out lamping last night with one of my pals. We didn't shoot particularly well and the conditions were totally against us, (clear with a moon ) but we managed to get a respectable bag together for 4 hours work. The two Foxes both came in to the squeek like steam trains. Cheers, Mark.

M ROBSON
Thanks guys, We were shooting from a 4x4, taking turns about with the driving/lamping and shooting. The gun is a moderated Ruger 10/22 using Eley subs. The ground has been lamped quite a bit of late so the bunnies were a little shy. Added to that was the clear sky with a moon and it was also fairly windy. We should have done a lot better, I'd say we missed as many as we shot. The foxes were a bonus though, saw 2, squeeked 2, shot 2 (with my 22-250) Cheers, Mark. ps, The black Rabbit was quite big, they don't normally live long enough to get to any size. game_keeper
i had one the other night, three cubs out on the stubble, gave a little squeak and they all ran at me, smacked one with a bb cartridge, only 2 ran off, since then i have had 2 more but cant squeak them now, everytime i do they run off so have to wait and catch them with the lamp Rob

M ROBSON
Thanks folks, The ground we shot on has been lamped quite a bit lately. On a good night it would be possible to shoot 200+ so my friend tells me, and I believe him. It's a hill farm up in the Pentlands at about 1000ft, we covered about 500 acres but went back over some bits a couple of times. Cheers, Mark.
