I hate to agree with ya KW but it was brilliant of you to post the image, to get a tortoise out of it Rimmie, that was masterful!.

I love a lively debate on here, it's not so much the same tosh- we all stick to our views so there will be some repetition. If it were a real life pub, I am sure we will all end up clinking glasses and saying "see you later".

I freely admit I am a fan of Mrs Thatcher and my views are those of the Tory boy. However, if I take a look at the forums I am mainly on which is this one and Land Rover UK forums, I have a good chat, have my views challenged, challenge others on theirs and ultimately have had some of mine changed.

That is life I respect you all and long may lively threads like this continue.

Just remember I am always right.

So, if the lad on the bike ran into the torch bearer knocked him over and rode off what would you be saying?

Where are the security team, what a waste of money etc etc etc.

The police cannot do right for doing wrong.

Exactly :good:

yep camera phones really do spoil things in the modern world eh you cant get away with half you used to in the good old days.

I must admit, repeating the same biased argument ad infinitum is a new style of trolling I haven't encountered before but it's quite amusing to watch. Your continued involvement I this thread is purely incidental as you have nothing new to offer to the discussion.

I'll even save you the bother of replying:

KW WROTE:

"The same tired argument, deeply based on an obvious dislike of the police that taints his opinions and prevents anyone from taking him seriously"

Whilst I would normally agree with the above, I do feel the 'security' guy acted as he has been trained to do: caught in the corner of his eye, someone heading towards the torch, and reacted

Another case of can't win whatever the result.....would you rather he just made his own decisions as to what is a risk and what isn't? I just feel sorry for all of them and glad that no-one was actually hurt :good:

Good comment, the kid could easily have been an adult about to disrupt the silly relay thing and the security bloke acted on instinct, he had a fraction of e second to react.

Should the the lad on the bike have been where he was? "NO" case answered.

I am not a fan of the torch/Olympics but I am a fan of the the Police force, whom it seems get the blame for everything at the moment. responding too quick or too slow.

Would you be a Policeman/Woman? just think for a moment about the Police Officer in Clacton (off duty)

Good comment and I totally agree with you, also where were the boys parents I wonder :hmm:
