toogood*10
has anyone used prometheus pellets? if so what do you think nof them? Edited July 11, 2012 by toogood*
FalconFN
I can't think of a reason why I'd put them through my rifle. Lead domed pellets will give you all the accuracy you will ever need and they deform well on impact - but if you want to try them to compare accuracy in your rifle then do, but you probably won't find any benefits. Not sure I'd want my barrel to be coated in plastic either.
jamiedenny
I wouldn't use them, love to see what you think though
toogood*10
In pellets you usualy get what you pay for and these are quite expensive as pellets go so just thought they might be good just wanted to hear a few opinions, while your here what's your favorate pellet? HDAV
They were rumoured to strip the rifling on the barrel and push sub 12ft/lbs guns over in chrono tests and could get you in a lot of trouble. H&N are good, AA field, What gun? Some work better in some than others

pabs
Hmmm, plastic skirted pellets. Any good? Crickey no!! Not only are they inaccurate, they clog up the rifling with plastic cack. And they make a hell of a racket in flight as that plastic skirt catches all the air which also equates to massive fps loss as soon as it leaves the barrel. No, just NO!!! NIGHT SEARCHER
If you want to punch holes in metal at short range there ok. But they are not very accurate and if you use them on vermin there`s no pellet spread just a small hole straight through. They are just another gimmick that as lasted 30 years i still have half a box that i bought over 30 years ago thats how much i have used them. You have to clean your barrel before you use them and after because they leave plastic debris in your barrel. PCPs barrels are choked the last 4 inches so are not suitable for Prometheus. Stick to lead pellets they do the job and are very accurate. I use Crosman premier ultra magnums and Crosman premier hollow points they work very well. RWS Superdomes or Superfields are very very accurate and hard hitting.

kenssexian
I bought a box for my BSA Supersport and the spread over 25yds was hopeless. At 40yds there was no point in even trying. Looked as if I had used a shotgun. Only used about 10 out of the box and gave up. Not for me.
