pin
My sympathy goes out to the family More bad press which I am sure will only add weight to the current proposals to redefine what constitues a "lethal" weapon. Currently the government are deciding if certain air weapons which are not now section 1 firearms, should now be considered as such. I don't mean any disrespect to the boy that was killed, or his family, but how the hell did he get hold of it in the first place?
Guest jonrms
I feel for the childs family. How horrible must it be to loose a son! On the same subject and slightly odd. There was a article in one of my shooting mags recently.. which asked " Should gun safty be taught at schools" I am undecided... most of me thinks yes... because it may help to avoid senseless deaths like this.. The other half thinks no because it might encourage, excite, other kids who may not treat a air rifle responsibly to get them.... hmmmm Anyway if theres a god... I hope its watching over him and his family....

trakker01
i used air rifles when i was 12 unsupervised it was not considered unusual. plinker you obviously are a sensible person..some are not. with all the agressive toys around, its easy to see why this may have happened, yes its very sad.. maybe gun saftey should be taught as a mandatory thing when purchacing a air weapon ??
