Can anyone who shoots at Orston tell me how much it is to shoot 100 sporting? (non members) thats assuming of course non members can just turn up and shoot??

Me and a few mates are planning a weekend away and after going there for the charity shoot I recommended it to them, (not too far away)

Also Hooters isnt that far away for a meal the night before

Cheers, so is it all registered?

None of us are CPSA members,

would that be a problem?

I think a phone call may be required.

Thanks for the replies

I think Orston have a comp every Sunday and they alternate them between registered and non-registered. You should be able to enter either though, there is a system for shooting CPSA comps as a non-member, you're supposed to buy a "day ticket". Some grounds don't bother to charge for it (allegedly) :P

Ah now there's the thing, it's a Saturday we are planning on going.

At the charity shoot other people than PW's were there so I assumed they would be open Saturday's ?

Yes, I expect they'll have the stands all set up for practice. Doubt there'll be a comp on though.

They've got a website with all the opening times, fixtures etc :good:

At Orston on Saturdays you can shoot 40 bird Sporting over five stands, part of the Sunday 100 birder.

There is also the 25 bird Sportrap,UT,DTL,ABT,DR and skeet.

Non member prices are £11 for the 40 bird and £6 for all 25 bird rounds.

Shooting starts at about 10.00am but the cafe is open before that.

If you're looking to shoot more sporting then Doveridge might be worth a look - they usually have a boatload of stands open
