Alpha Mule
Well I wasn't getting on with my RWS Titan 3, so I've chopped it in and am now waiting for my RFD to get my new Tikka T3 Light (synthetic/blued) in. The RWS shoots laser beams of destruction, but it's too heavy for my liking and doesn't like the rain and has a shiny stainless barrel. I can't wait! So tip and suggestions for running in the barrel are welcome, as are any Tiikka specific knowledge. Any flame-war type stuff and I'll be nudging a mod to delete, so be nice! Alycidon
Running in barrel. Shoot one round and clean for first five rounds, then shoot 3 and clean for next 15. That should do. Clean normally after every 10-20 rounds or when the gun gets wet or wont be used for a few days. Mop the oil out of the barrel before re use, be aware that the first round down a clean barrel may shoot to a different point of impact. Gerry31
As per my earlier post my RWS is spot on now but it came with a synthetic stock which flexed so much as to make it useless I spoke to Ruag and they inturn spoke to the factory in Austria which then redesigned the polymer to give a stiffer plastic its better but still needed a little work which included relieving the barrel clearance etc.it now shoots spot on. I'm not slagging you off but I can see how this helps? It's not really any different to just shooting a gun and cleaning it 20 rounds later? henry d
I needed to lighten the trigger pull on my T3 as it was a bit too heavy for my liking, other than that I used a similar system to Alycidon above.
