Jame Posted August 12, 2012 Report Share Posted August 12, 2012 Lincolnshire seems to have a good few shooters on here! Had a long wait for sgc to come but got it and bought first gun 3 weeks ago. Just got back from few hours on rape stubble, moved 3 times before i got anything much dropping in but then wow! I packed in at 2.30pm as ran out of cartridges! Ended up with a bag of 51 (i was hoping to get 10-15) but could of been alot more if I had more ammo and I didnt miss "some". Apart from today Ive had 3/4 outings with little success, I went roost shooting last night to bag some birds to use as decoys today (10)...from my very short experience the dead birds work very well as decoys, I added another 10 birds to pattern which worked fantastic, tried mix of full body/shellson previous outings but nothing dropped in much. Some great advice on forums, spent hours reading about guns, gear, decoy patterns ect and proved that even a new guy can have early success!
