It will be something that i would want to stay with me for life, something special to me. I may add to it one day but never remove it. Is there anything I should watch out for in a tattoo artist? Does anybody have any reccomendations? It's going to be some writing song lyrics like do people specialise in this sort of thing like calligraphy writers or something?

If you can walk in and get it done within a week go somewhere else.

i had to wait 3 months to get mine done.a good sign that the artist is very well booked.

Im now waiting for him to return back from his home country so i can have another done.

all good artists will have a portfolio so you can see the quality of their work.

Dont have small lines close together as they fade together - I had one done 16 years ago and it is a bit "blurry" now!

Also - black is the only colour to have in my opinion as other colours look dull.

Theme tune to broke back mountain?

there is some truth in the bit of if the artist is there and ready it could mean he's not busy/ not very good but in saying that it's script and although it has to be good it isn't something people would specialise in , i would pick a studio either recommended by someone who knows or has had work from said studio............NEVER go to someones house ,garage, shed and if it's cheap it's dodgy somewhere along the way.....

relly is get what you pay for in our industry i'm afraid to say

jimmie skuse in bristol long time tattoo family and well respected in the industry

my son just got one on Tuesday now that he's turned 17, I think it looks pretty good but for £135 I think i'd rather have it in cartridges instead lol

not having a pop mate but did you know it is illegal to tattoo anyone under the age of 18 in great britain..... it is classed as assault even with mum & dads say so

I'm thinking of getting a tattoo but I was a bit of a pie muncher. I've started on a diet and doing a bit of exercise. So my question is what happens to a tattoo if you lose weight will it screw it up? It's going to be on my thigh if that helps

Cheers Nick

Pop down to the Norwich tattoo thingy that b19johnny is attending and get him to do it :good:

Make sure he doesnt have a Labrador tied up outside and doesnt shake his head about like Stevie Wonder

I can thoroughy recommend this guy.. hes in nailsworth and his assistant who does all the artwork is the daughter of a very close freind.

Script can be very difficult to get to look right though especially if there are many words and its a small font because of it
