Catweazle
Can I send 12g cartridges to another SGC holder through the mail or does it have to be face-to-face ? I know I can buy cartridges mail-order, and I know that you don't actually need a SGC to possess cartridges, just to buy them. So if, for example, I was sending someone a gift of a box of cartridges is that OK ?
parapilot
As long as the carrier allows it, some won't carry explosive items I can't see why not.
Gordon R
Not via Royal Mail - from memory.
hillmouse
Carrier only. You cannot put them in the post. Not all carriers will accept them. Probably going to cost more than they are worth if it is small quantities.
beeredup
cartridges are classed as dangerous goods and by law require to be declared to a carrier and marked accordingly with a dangerous good class 1.4 and the Un number

hafod
PLEASE DO NOT SEND THEM BY ROYAL MAIL if memory serves me right they have to be labeled up AMMUNITION CLASS 6 DIVISION 1 SAFETY CARTRIDGES NOT LIABLE TO EXPLODE IN BULK , this was the advise given to me by david garrard many years ago when i was in touch with the great man himself on the subject of sending cartridges for proof testing , though things may well have changed now . they will have to be sent by carrier and i think only TNT will accept and deliver them for you , but when you add the cost of delivery on top will it be worth it , i suspose it depends on the ammount being sent of coarse . regards andy
