four-wheel-drive
I do admire the French if the people do not like a new law they just ignore it unlike us stupid Brits who think that any new law must have been past down by god so it has to be enforced. As for getting shot of the Romanian Romanies they are the scum of the earth if you thought our travellers was bad the Romanian Romanies are in a different league I say ship them back to Romania we do not want them over here. Catweazle
I find the pictures of uniformed police watching the Roma leaving on foot disturbing. More disturbing is the tone of the Daily Hate article, but then we must remember that this is the newspaper that supported Hitler. On that note I couldn't believe the support given in the comments to the chap who abducted and beat a trick or treater before violating him with a firework. Makes me worry about the population as a whole: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2195120/Thug-handcuffed-trick-treat-prankster-washing-line-stuck-lit-firework-buttocks.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

He was rather Un PC but he would have dealt with these traveller scallywags in the proper manner, and he did make exceedingly good bangers. al4x
there are two sides of this and the only point missing is what happens to the human rights of the people who own the land or have to live nearby. In France they stand up for them, here you get little help or a solution. Its hard to say the French are wrong in their approach

Robl
In full journalistic tradition I’m guessing we’re only getting part of the story here. Who was the teenager who retrieved the kid who was running away? Was it the son of the beater or a friend of the knocker? Was there any history between all the people involved? Did he warn of any consequences after the first or second time of being knocked? Obviously a court decided that the bloke should be punished and they gave him several months in jail. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was suspended. I do have some sympathy with the chap, I’ve lived in some crappy areas and there are times I would have liked to thrash one of the little ******** that lived nearby. From what I could make out, he just put the firework between his butt cheeks rather than shoving it where the sun doesn’t shine. He gave him a bit of a thrashing, but the kid was able to run home afterwards. All in all, it’s a fairly nasty treatment of a kid, but he got some punishment and genuinely got the **** scared out of him – I doubt he’ll do that sort of thing again. The bloke looks like a hefty guy. Had be thrown a few solid punches and a kick or two he probably could have done a lot more damage than a bit of a birching and some public humiliation. I’m not defending him – I’m just playing with some different perspectives.
DSPUK
I am with Robl on this one - read article and no where did I read he sexually assulted him - bit of a crass statement that. The little dog poo got what was coming - a trip to police station would have made him laugh.- the birch certainly didn't -- I can just visualise what his parents must look if they are still about. Dave I genuinely can't believe people are defending this sick man. Using fireworks, canes and a riding crop on someone who annoyed him shows deep-rooted violent tendencies. It isn't a spur of the moment action or a normal human response to being disturbed whilst watching your evening television.

Catweazle
I'd be wondering why he had handcuffs, a cane and a riding crop. He doesn't look the horsey type and he's not a copper.

guest1957
What would you do if kids played knock and run time and time again??? Ask them to get lost. This was three occasions on one day so hardly a campaign of terror. If it was constant I would find out who they were and take appropriate legal action. Doing the appropriate thing isn't difficult. Doing what this man did requires you to have deep rooted violent tendencies.
four-wheel-drive
As the saying goes violence only begat's more violence back in olden times when I was at school they still had the strap now I like to think that I was brought up properly and never got in to any real trouble the threat of being strapped was enough of a deterrent for most of us. The strange thing I noted was that the kids that got in to trouble and was punished it had no affect on them at all you get the same thing with dogs you see people smacking there dogs for doing something but dose it stop them the next time in short no. malantone
I APPRECIATE THAT `WE` AS CERTIFICATE HOLDERS COULDN`T TAKE SUCH ACTION AS THIS GUY DID WITHOUT LOSING OUR GUNS, BUT WHAT TO DO,? ASK THEM TO GET LOST? I CAN`T SEE IT WORKING, APPROACH THE PARENTS? MAYBE , CALL THE POLICE ? VERY LOW PRIORITY, WE ARE ONLY TOLD ABOUT THE ONE EVENING, IT`S POSSIBLE THESE KIDS ARE A PAIN IN THE NIEGHBOURHOOD. I HOPE IT DOSEN`T HAPPEN TO ME, FOUR WHEEL DRIVE :- i AGREE 90% BUT I CAN COUNT ON TWO FINGERS HOW MANY TIMES MY FATHER BELTED ME BUT I WAS A QUICK LEARNER AND SOON BECAME A WELL BEHAVED CHILD, PUNISHMENT CERTAINLY HAD AN EFFECT ON ME. Olliesims
In most of the **** hole city's the parents are just as bad as the kids.... Why should you have to put up with endless **** from kids who can't behave, they know the uk justice system is a joke with just a slap on the wrist even for the most serious crimes... Could be an Anne Summers rep,a part time school teacher and a part time Mussolini impersonator. I've got a nazi dagger,a motor bike helmet and the wife's got a rampant rabbit, and believe it or not,I'm not a Kraut, don't ride a bike and the missus looks **** all like Elmer Fudd. Stop wondering about mundane things fella, your head will hurt. I've just had another look, and the missus could indeed pass for Elmer so apologies. I'm a terrible hoarder - I have a huge collection of "stuff" - but I don't have handcuffs, a riding crop, or a cane. If I enjoyed handcuffing people and spanking them I would probably have these items. Enough said ?
