As of this morning (due to timewaster) I'm also including in the sale FREE a delightful 2 bedroom brick and flint cottage in picturesque South Norfolk Village. Oil fired C/H, Fitted kitchen and spa bath.Small walled garden. 20 minutes to Norwich. Yours for 150,495 pounds sterling.. Or 500 quid if you don't want the house. Mungler
£500 sounds like too much. I paid £450 for my silver pigeon from a dealer and it's a multichoke (and came with a complete set of chokes). If you want to get rid, let me know as I have a two mates who have both just got their licenses. But for non multichoke they would be looking to cough a max of £350. Mungler
Problem is people want the brightly coloured sticking out chokes thing - don't know why, but perhaps it's the extra couple of inches that makes all the difference (boom boom etc). Sounds like it would make someone a nice first gun.
Gordon R
Mungler - you must let me know where you can get a Beretta 687 Sporter for £350. I checked Guntrader and a few others. Only found one o/u less tha £500 and it was "well used". £500 sounds about right.

So I had a think (and read Gordon R's post ) and think 500GBP is about right If your mates buy the house I'll chuck the gun in for nothing...... I can then go get my SO9......... Mungler
Most of the guns on gun trader are from dealers. Take cash to a dealer and get an immediate 10% off or cartridges to the equivalent value. Buy private, pay less. If the guns that hot it will sell, simple supply and demand economics. However, my observations are: 1. fixed choke gun - no one wants them 2. seller is in the states, no photos etc 3. sounds like a good gun for a first time buyer but for another £100 they are into m/choke 686 territory £350 for a quick cash deal from a known buyer with no messing sounds about right to me Obviously, if you want it at full asking then it would appear to be yours EDIT: Just seen this: http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...topic=22137&hl= Like I said, multichokes are all the rage. Deako
I wonder why everyone still thinks dealers will give discount for cash?...I'd only give discount if you signed up for finance at 29% APR... :yp:
Mungler
Indeed, what was I thinking. That's right, no dealer will give a discount for cash. You heard it here first.
