Guest topshot_2k
i saw 2 guys in a stall put on 2 expensive jackets and just walk out into the croud...made me feel sick as i couldnt do anything about it, had my dog with me and my mrs, i told the stall owner and went to the police stand but no-one there... if i had of grabbed one of them i doubt i would have made it out alive..as they both looked like good scrappers..and i think they had a couple of lookouts distracting staff so i bet i would have had one over the head if had put my hands on one... I caught some young lad stealing tins of pellets. Clearly ****** and there was a lot of them there, seems to be more each year. I didnt think the trade stands offered any real bargains, none of them wanted to do a deal and pricing varied hugely between stands 40 yards apart! oscarsdad
Maybe like there is terrier racing and gundog scurries at the next show, they should have ***** baiting or bare knuckle fighting - if we have to put up with scum being there, we may as well gain some entertainment from them! Or maybe perhaps give them jackets made of meat and fox tails and have some sort of competition between the various hound packs?

Yes i dont understand this. Who pays £17 to go and spend all day drinking over priced beer/cider in a show?
Salop Matt
I went Sunday and was dissapointed to so many ****** (horrible scum) I didnt see any trouble or stealing thankfully ! They will also increase stalls prices and the event cost to cover better security and cover theft costs ! Personally I think that countryman gamefairs have been the rott of the event! its been great over the years but the last 5 years have been getting worse each time ! More diluted i suppose, the local radio station advert for it was rally poor and was clearly aimed to get anyone in just for the day even if they werent country folk, just a family day out no interest in field sports and fishing etc ! This will no doubt destroy the event all together ! Maybe if more shooting / field sports folk turned up and sttod there ground making it known to the ####s they arent welcome they may stay away and also spend the money there to attract the big retailers back once again ! I got a good buy on a Berretta slip saving me £30 so happy there, new EKA Swede 8 knife, lansky sharpening system and pouch, happy enough . Gambore 20g plas wad 28gram 7s x 250 at a £50 good price i thought ! £10 on a mixed sausage bag from the merry german happy with that too. New charging hose from best fittings to which was nice. Chatted to Phill Hardman AKA Kwicky off the forums. Managed not to treat myself to a Sherwood jacket which I regret now as it was very nice and a good price ! New leather cartridge belt ordered ! Forgot to get one of the wooly cleaning rods for the shotgun, got a bottle of the Brauder or what ever its called which is very nice ! and restained from buying a second semi or more cartridges! Saw HMR ammo back at £10 per 50 which was good i thought ! Also re subscribed to Airgun World and got a free jack pyke flask which is a good bit of kit as i had one last year and free copy of air gunner. jam1e
There was a large gypsy element there this year . We saw them wandering around on Sunday in droves. My mate went on Saturday and two of them out of a large group were arguing at the ticket office that they weren't going to pay full price as they were only going to the cider tent . They ripped off there shirts and started shouting at the staff . I hate ******! They go around shouting and balling just to try and intimidate people into doing what they want them to. They should,..............Bang!
krugerandsmith
managed to go on the sunday, set off for 6.30am and on site by 7.50am, plenty of people there already ,,managed to get a pair of waterproof pants at half price and stock up on AA Diablo pellets,, but not much else, not many bargains this year, as per usual food was a rip off-- so took the camp stove to make my own bacon buttys, must admit the place was crawling with travellers, the stood out a mile-- especially the girl in the pink velour track suit that was 6 sizes too small it had my mrs on edge all day, she was panicking about the car ( Golf gti) she was convinced it was going to get broken into to, but we had parked two rows back from the front by the ticket office , so there was plenty of security/police about also saw plenty of police about inside,, don,t know if i,ll go back next year, have to wait and see shaun Shaun. Yes I saw the girl and her troupe climbing out of a new top of the range ...Range Rover.
