ferguson_tom
Has anyone used the Falken Landair (also know as T110) tyres on their 4x4s? I have used Falken tyres on my other cars and always been impressed with them for the money. I do a lot of road miles but need ATs for towing trailers on fields etc so need minimum road noise and stuff. If not I will just pay the extra money and get BFGs All Terrains. webber
Yes. Had them on my Rangie for a few years. I thought that they were good tyres until a routine puncture repair revealed wires coming through the treads which still had plenty of meat on them. Further investigation showed the same on the other three tyres. I therefore had no alternative other than to replace all 4 tyres. I fitted Cooper AT3s at a cost of just shy of £500. webber
al4x
not much beats the AT's if its a vehicle you are going to keep for a few years. After a few pairs I had grabbers to save a few quid this time and really wished I hadn't
ferguson_tom
Are the BFGs really that much of a better tyre, I am not planning on selling it anytime soon.
al4x
If you mean do they last 60K usually at least and give a couple of mpg more than the grabbers then yes. Definitely better in the thick brown stuff as well.
PhilR
I've had two sidewall punctures with Grabber AT2's apart from them I've been very impressed with them but throwing away two tyres with a good 7mm of tread left is disappointing. I've just bought a pair of BFG AT and I hope they last longer. They've reinforced sidewalls so there's a premium to pay over the AT2's which don't have them. From comments on the D2boys forum this isn't an isolated incident.
al4x
the best thing Phil is stay away from rutts in the summer when the ground is baked hard thats when you puncture side walls, touch wood not had a problem with these grabbers they just aren't quite up to the BFG standard
PhilR
Al4x up in Northants our land has been waterlogged a lot of the time especially the cattle pastures - you'll recall the F1 BGP panic with the rain and mud in July. It hasn't been a lot better since and my punctures in the sidewalls are recent damage.

Dr_evil
Maxxis Bravo's Far better and cheaper than BFG's, I replaced my BFG's with the Buckshot mudders and they're quieter on road even though they're an MT slightly confused at that but not complaining
kermitpwee
Ran the falkens on a pajero, on my second set, I reckon they are a bargain tbh. Not as good as the wranglers I had on once but good enough for me to put on a new set yesterday. A fraction more noise on road but very little in it. sako751sg
Are you sure the T110s are AT?I thought the Landairs AT and the Landairs T110s were two different tyres. Used the Falkens in the past and always been very impressed with good value for your cash.
ferguson_tom
Thanks everyone for the comments, i think i will go for a pair of the falkens the price difference for the pair compared to bfg's is about £70 so quite a big difference.
