m3vert
Wonder if this is the begining of things to come? http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/19822198
poontang
And the RSPB on the BBC news this morning talking about the persecution of birds of prey. Coincidence? I don't think so. A joint effort from protectionist organisations to demonise shooters? Almost certainly. That said, we have to face the fact that this was always going to happen. Anyone using lead shot illegally, or involved in the persecution of raptors have without doubt been instrumental in the WWT's and RSPB's latest findings. A spectacular own goal from the shooting community, and anyone involved in these activities should be hung out to dry.
Salopian
Poontang, Very well said, unfortunately we will always be judged as being as bad as the worst, never as good as the good we do for Conservation.
wymberley
Poontang, Very well said, unfortunately we will always be judged as being as bad as the worst, never as good as the good we do for Conservation. True enough. Unfortunately, whereas this is a situation from which we could escape, there is insufficient determination shown by our collective selves to do so. It is highly likely these hitherto relatively sporadic attacks will become both more frequent and fierce and as long as they remain largely undefended as at the moment our survival timespan is accordingly being diminished
