Tiger955i
HI all. I have a 2002 Mercedes Sprinter which I need to sell fairly quickly but it has a couple of minor issues. The starter sticks from time to time, the spare wheel carrier is spud, there is a small intermittent leak on the clutch master cylinder and the usual Sprinter rust. Over the past 2-3 years I heve spent, probaby, over £2000.00 on a new fuel pump, injectors clutch brakes and the list goes on. II need to sell the Sprinter sooner rather than later as it is on my neighbours driveway and I am parking my 110 on my drive. Whilst he is happy enough with it there, for now, I want it gone before he gets fed up with parking his car on the street! I do not have an ebay account and really do not want to be bothered with strangers knocking on my door etc. I know in a private sale I will never rcoupe what I have paid out on it and it may take a whle to sell so do I cut my losses and just take it to the auction? Any advice would be more than welcome. ATB Jamie
al4x
sad to say auctions you will be lucky to get trade price for it then loose fees. Ebay though agro you do tend to get more but the problem you have is its a vehicle with well known problems and sounds like it has a fair few of them. That said sometimes its better to just get rid it just depends on the financial side and how much you want back
Tiger955i
HI Al4x Thank you for your reply. It runs well, and I will be really sorry to see it go but I just have no need for it now and much as it galls me space is paramount in this instance. kent
Commercials often make good prices at block, you can always have a reserve (any bids under but near the reserve will generally be put to you after the sale ) ensure you know all about the fees, including any for non selling. Its a lot less hassle than selling private. Also phone the local van traders and get some bids before you send it off to auction, at worst you will get an idea were to set a reserve at best you will sell it and save fees
Vince Green
take it to the auction and say goodbye. selling it privately can incur all sorts of headaches and comebacks. There are all sorts of dodgy people out there.

Albert 888
If you take it to the auction dont watch it go through tho its heart wrenching. Anyone buying at auction should no the score. Good look with the sale.
