Really sorry Terry but not going to be able to attend - family have just reminded me I have committed to another function on the 8th. Gutted

Next time

Vince.

Sorry to hear that Vince.

Is there anyone out there that wants to come along.

I have 6 spare places now (5 couples attending) we could really do with some more lads to liven the evening up.

I have 5 spare places due to a few people dropping out. Is there anyone out there that fancies a great and very different evening out.

As ever its 7pm for 7.30, you get everything on the menu plus a locally produced bread basket, it s a relaxed evening with a single sitting, the dishes coming out steadily throughout the evening, if you’re expecting to get in and out quick then please don't come, it’s about the social aspect of dining as well as the fabulous food.

Canapés Sloe Cordial, Potted Rabbit& Goose Pate

Starter Game Consommé served with Caramelised Red Onion Roll

Main Creamy Pheasant Pie, Wild Horseradish Mash & Braised Red Cabbage

Dessert Chestnut Chocolate Torte with Rosehip Fool.

Mary and I enjoyed ourselves in pleasant company. The food was good and interestingly prepared. Got a bit of a sore head this morning, due I think to the sloe gin tasting. Congratulations to Huffhuff for his winning effort. A big thanks to the Herts Social Secretary, Terry, for arranging it.

Mrsphilr went home a winner, Winning £40.00 on the Irish Bingo, with Teresa from the A1 Shooting ground winning £40.00 on the Heads and Tails, so I suppose it was a ladies night.

I will post a list of everything we had to eat, and taste as soon as i receive it from Stuart, like you i lost count of the course.

I am thinking fool that i am to perhaps organise an "End of Season Dinner" at the same place , what do you think?
