fishynom8s
Hi guys Do we have any whittlesey wildfowlers members on hear? Im thinking of joining next year but as I have not done any real wildfowling before I was wondering if anyone would be willing to let me tag along on a flight or 2, I don’t mind if I don’t shoot I would just like to get a bit of experience. fishynom8s
Sorry for the confusion, I meant all I have done is a small amount of duck shooting on flight ponds but never with any decoys or anywhere that I would need to locate the birds ect

kent
Not all wildfowling clubs participate in the BASC permit scheame. Those that dont often have a guest permit available through having a full member friend though. Good luck on your wildfowling start
fuzzypigeon
If you see dave at Whittlesey gunshop he used to sell the day permits for non members, but had to be accompanied by a full member of at least 2 seasons I believe to go on the low wash drove etc if I remember correctly
Yoggy
I very much doubt both the Washes will be shootable for the rest of the season. The floods have totally ruined things...........Way to much water!!. Permits are still available but the shooting will be extremely restricted. oxfordfowler
I was on the Barrier bank this morning - the water level is as high as ever
Yoggy
Water is now going down..........SLOWLY!!. The B1040 should be open this week but there is no way anyone will be getting on the Low Wash. The water is still high and runs from Mortons Leam to River Nene from Fitzwilliam bridge to Guyhurn. Personally I think it will be at least till after new yr before the 2 Washes will be shootable, and then thats if we`re lucky!. Its a shame because the Wigeon numbers are extremely high.
