moor man
Dont know about xenon but i fitted 'halford extreme brilliance' bulbs to my old 4x4, what a difference! When I sold the car I swapped the bulbs and fitted to the new car. Good value for money as they were a BOGOF I think Edited December 1, 2012 by moor man
shaun4860
I think im right in saying that if you retro fit xenons its going to be an MOT failure as you need self leveling lights and headlight washers too, cant remember when its coming in (may even be in now)

I should add I am an MOT tester

greyhead
i'm a tester too, i agree and i wouldnt bother changing especialy to cheap chinese stuff, quite a few seem to give a poor output and pattern on the beam tester are your lights that bad, i dont have any problems with my discovery or defender with plain old halogen,

Scrap that, ive just had a look at a picture and it does indeed have head lamp washers I didnt know that was a must for mot, as they say you learn something new everyday Edited December 1, 2012 by M.I.A
bedwards1966
If you do fit them, make sure they're adjusted correctly. Few bother, and there is little worse than some inconsiderate idiot coming the other way blinding you.
Schern
As a MOT tester where do i stand? factory bi zenon and no in car adjuster? You don't get an in car adjuster. The system automatically adjusts based on how much weight is in the car.
Cosd
Phillips Night Breaker Plus bulbs are supposed to be very good. A lot of the guys on the Land Rover forum rave about how good these are. Phillips Extremes are another one often talked about. Cos
