Elby
Ok how about this scenario You're selling your car outside your house. Your neighbour steps up to the buyer and says "there's one cheaper round the corner" Is he a hero or a nosey sod?

Elby
If your letting the seller know by PM what's wrong with telling the buyer? Because it would be down to the seller to drop the price and any prospective buyers to do what I have done and do the homework.
-Mongrel-
Ebay is a different proposition, any sane human knows Ebay is full of blaggers and theives and as such would treat the transaction with far more suspicion.

Your neighbour steps up to the buyer and says "there's one cheaper round the corner" Is he a hero or a nosey sod? Depends. Is he a mate of the buyer, a mate of the seller or a mate of both. I've had a few people give me the heads on shopping on here and I've been very pleased that someone's looked out for me

Elby
Anyway, as asked earlier, please tell me exactly why people shouldn't offer an opinion (see above for the longer version)? Have I not answered that a dozen times.Offer your opinion to the seller BY PM. It's not my place or anybody elses to try and **** up someones sale. AGAIN we are grown men that should be able to look after ourselves
rapid basher
'Elby' quote What is it with people making comments like "you can get it cheaper here......" Or "I had one like that and it broke" If I see something for sale and I want it if I know it can be bought cheaper elsewhere I'll send a link to the seller and offer a price. I can't for the life of me figure out why anybody would want to sabotage the sellers chance of a sale by making comments. The reason I said that was I had a vortex mod for sale about a year ago I sold it to him for 40 ish And I lost it I found it and told him,,, pmd him and he didn't want it I then re listed it at 60 and he replys is that the one one you sold me for 40 I said yes, pmd a guy back and said its sold and he didn't want it So why the hell did he post that ,, and didn't want it and I lost a sale
Mungler
This thread has just got a bit angry and unpleasant. I guess a few people have had a few bad days at work / home. I reckon the sales section works fine. I'm out.
RED BEARD
i know what elby means, someone could advertise a gun they don't use very often for a high price because they'd like to put the oney towards something else they fancy, not because they need the money but just because their willing to let it go if they can get a good price, then some bright spark pipes up saying theres loads on guntrader and there £100 cheaper than yours! this doesn't mean their trying to rip anyone off,it just means their only willing to sell something for the price they find acceptable.
