ME
I went over to DE shaving after a lifetime of Mach 3 turbo bitchmuthas. I much prefer it and it is cheaper - what's not to like?
GingerCat
I love de and cut throat shaving, my advice is take your time. Get a decent brush, get the water hot, so hot you can only just take it on your face lather up the brush with a decent soap like the Sandal wood one from Taylor of old bond street, apply liberally and shave gently. No pressing like with a mach 3 or whatever. Go with the grain and when done repeat in another direction, try not against the grain as u can tare the skin but needs must and all that especially if u have a dangerous Dan 5 o'clock shadow at 10am like me. Best shave ever. And as an added brucy bonus your Mrs should never go near it, at least mine won't despite offers to trim up the bikini line etc. Just take your time and no pressing of you WILL cut yourself. The reason I spout on about Taylor of bond street is that their soaps/ creams (whatever) are fat based and offer the best lube for a shave I have ever come across, as a shaving snob that's high praise indeed. Fatcatsplat
Depends on when you're shaving. If it's Monday morning, ten minutes til my train and i've got stubble, i want the quickest, easiest solution - Safety razor with 96 blades, safety guards and moisturising strips is just the ticket. If it's of an evening and I'm having a little pamper session and time's on my side, well......bring out the big guns and let's make a meal of it.
