BRAD1927
Hi all I was out yesterday on some land but it was very exposed and not alot of cover, I set my hide up but got very frustrated at it being blown in all the time. I currently use an old piece of cam net and a stealth net also have extending poles with extra long spikes. Any suggestions welcome as I see pics on here and my set up looks the same but ground is soft and keeps collapsing.

Long Tent pegs and lenghts of baling string is what I use plus if possible tying to the fence, trees or bushes.
southeastpete
I use tent pegs, with bungee cords. either to the ground, trees/bushes, fences.
utectok
I use guy ropes some 8 mm parra cord (doesn't tangle like the thin stuff) and if its really windy peg down the guys with three long sticks per end splayed into ground like a birds foot. The guy gets wrapped round the top of the hide pole once then onto the next pole then tethered each end. Two guys do the trick for four poles

TJ91
Ghillie suit or make a layout blind. A lot easier than a hide..not always the best in some sotuatioms but i have been having a lot of success with the suit
chrispti
I use a few old washing line poles with the "G" hook at each end, clip them to each hide pole to make cross members. I hook the bottom of the net to the pole kick plates and twist the pole to pull the net tight. Works a treat, net doesn't blow in and the frame is rock steady. wattsowatts
There was a letter in a recent Sorting Gun where the writer was using old fiberglass tent poles as cross braces between the hide poles, this seemed to have worked very well. I have just got hold of some and intend to try them out the next time I go out.
Cosd
I use para cord to the top of the front poles and tent pegs to the ground. And I have a telescopic fishing rod from the pound shop. I took the top two sections out and drilled a hole at each end. I attach a piece of wire and create a loop each end. I put this between the top of the front poles and clip the net to it. This stops the front of the net blowing inwards.
