wattsowatts
Hi, in all my years of shooting pigeons i have have never been able to decoy over beans as they have just come through. The best time to shoot them, i think, is after they have been harvested.

old'un
I am amazed they managed to sow them! Best times on beans is when they have been sown and there's a few on the top (you are to late now) and after they have been cut, but you need to be quick as they tend to get ploughed in not long after this. Never seen pigeons hitting beans once they get up 2 or 3 inches.

TJ91
Best time to hit it...same as any other crop...when they are there! Harvest usually best!
JDog
You are too late now - you should have been there soon after they were planted. The next period of interest will be in the month or so after harvest which will be next September/October.
caeser
I've had excellent results, the day after they've been sown or drilled, and for the next couple of days.
blasterjudd
On drilled they pick up surface beans but on harvest its the spilled or dropped beand they swarm after Ive shot loads this year on harvested beans but yes fresh drilling can be good but not so brill as harvested!!!!
