Traztaz
If its simpy carbon build up, which I suggest it is, drop it in vinigar for a few hours, makes removal very easy. Allways worked for carbon build up on military gas plugs.

Mangled99
Mines strippable but I put mine in an ultrasonic 50% white vinegar and 50% water comes out a treat although I think its quieter with a little carbon build up.
cooter
Soak it in cheap coca cola over night. I was given a well used, and never cleaned, SAK. Over night soak and it came apart without any effort.

Just a thought don't get any vinegar and water mix on any blued metal or it won't be blued very long
Whitebridges
Use SAK mods and clean them in Coke (cola ) overnight. Dry them well then put in airing cupboard to get rid of any moisture. Light dab of grease on the threads, re-assemble, job jobbed.
