I brought a shotgun from this gun shop less than 2 months ago - it was advertised as a new shotgun, it broke within 2 months of purchasing the gun, the gun wouldn't break open with live cartridges in it, I asked for a refund because I didn't want to use the gun like that, the gun didn't even close right you had to use the top lever to close it nicely, he offered me 300 quid? So I spoke to trading standards and they said he has to offer me a refund or a replacement I didn't want the placement because the customer approach and service was ****, and I was going to accept £300 when I had the gun less than 2 months I then contacted him and told him I would seek advice from trading standards he offered me £405 pounds which I accept, the gun was a white diamond which will be up for sale next week haha.

Ive bought 2 guns from Churchills in the last year and personally never had any problem, always very friendly and helpful. Managed to have a deal each time, got a bipod thrown in with the first gun and a slab of cartridges with the second.

I have however never had to take either of the guns back with a problem, so never dealt with them without handing over my hard earned ££££

Can only speak as i find.

I have been in once to buy some rifle ammunition with my wife and son, we were totaly ignored for about 15 minutes even though we were standing at the counter. The guy behind the counter was chatting to someone about his Range Rover, he did look over at us on a couple of occassions then looked away as if I was a piece of ****. When he eventualy ask what I was after, I told him not to bother and walked out. I will never ever set foot in the place again.

I was happy with the £405 quid I had 2 months fun with the gun so I lost 45 quid just a learning curve tbh - never to use them again I took it in 2 weeks ago and got my money yesterday! I use Phillip Webster all the time - he is brilliant gun smiths and good for a general chat! I wonder if my old gun is on churchills website lol

Thank you Leeds chimp

That's the exact same level of customer service i got when i went in there once, to stand at the counter for 5 minutes while 4 of them chatted with each other, I've never been back.

PS.

Don't be fooled by my Forum Name, that's derived from my similarity to a certain dog from a certain insurance company advert.

Bought my gun from Philip Webster....a really nice, knowledgeable chap..will only go there :good: :good:

I agree, i met Philip last week for the first time, very friendly and knows what he's talking about, i needed a £55 moderator posting from an RFD to RFD, Churchill's wanted £45 to do it, Philip just wanted me to chuck him a few quid.Job Done. :)
