Suffolk shooter
Sounds like a good idea to me have a few rounds of clays then a few beers and a bit of lap/pole dancing(watching not doing ) You try shooting 25 straight after watching them, no wonder I can only get 23 or 24ex25. Just at the last moment, the wrong sight picture occurs
Paul in North Lincs.
good high crossers out of a tower.......If you ever get the chanc eto go to Humbserside Shooting Ground in Bransburton...they have a cracking shoot there with traps set in rushes over water to mimick teal, and ducks dropping in along with rabbits...the works... There is also an amazing gun room with guns for sale from £500 - £5,000..a great day out
P03
I've tried most disciplines and love all round but my fave is, and always will be, Skeet Doubles.
antuk99
My favorite is Compact even better when its random
Gordon R
Antuk - I shoot mainly Sporting, but shot a lot of Skeet years ago. Compact Sporting can be fun, but the truly random set-ups really do sharpen up your shooting. Prefer Sporting as you get different layouts every time and the social event of walking round meeting people. I also pick up ideas of how to tackle targets, by watching where others pick- up / kill the targets.
the last engineer
ive not seen anyone post anything about 5 stand here, do any of you guys shoot it, or is it not set up there, the reason i ask is its a favorite here for sharpening reflexes, we normaly have 8 machines set out in the field firing a combination of singles following pair and true pairs, the computer can be set for any level of shooter, a completely ramdom shoot is available, a flush can be shot with 3 guys and up to 100 birds loads of fun, any of you guys shoot it ?? pin
I've not heard of it, but that isn't saying a lot It sounds like the devil child of skeet and compact sporting on acid, I'd love to shoot it
08shooter
skeet and compact sporting dtl is boring i lose concentration too many grumpy old farts shot skeet with 2 brilliant dtl shooters a month ago talk about a fish out of water they are good at dtl cause they don t and can t shoot any other disciplines
the last engineer
dont knock it VS, to be good at a discilpline you have to concentrate a whole lot of time to that sport alone, thats why there are champions right, a lot of us prefer to maintain a good all round skill level incorperating multiple games, they all help regardless of what you hear. never knock a guy who can shoot one game well, untill you can shoot it better  Martin
throdgrain
I tried DTL properly for only the 2nd time on sunday, really enjoyed it  After hitting the first clay the bloke next to me said "good shot, especially with that gun" wrinkling hid nose a bit at my Mossberg. I ended up with 48 and he got 21
