Alecheywood
When I go roost shooting this February, I want to increase my normal bag. I was wondering if any of you experts out there use decoys or something similar when in the woods themselves. ANY advice welcome...
blankfirer
ye pal i use normal full bodied deeks on lofting hooks up in the trees
lakeside1000
Same here, just three or four lofters on hooks as high as you can get them, pigeons see safety in numbers, so they would rather join a group than sit alone, if they are coming in in large numbers the lofters do not work as well, but when there are just ones and twos coming in the lofters do work. sitsinhedges
I like to be mobile to catch the best flight lines as they develop. Wouldn't putting deeks up trap you in one place?
Alecheywood
OK brilliant, I will do the same... Thanks a lot. Do you try and get right under the trees they want to roost in or do you go to the edge of the wood to get the flight line?
pboro shot
keep mobile forget the decoys for roosting they will come wotever if they useally roost there look for large amounts of bird dodo youll soon get the idea once you see the first few come in get on the clays practice practice being in the right place and being able to hit the birds will give you bigger bags

Yep in my opinion being mobile outweighs deeks 10 out of
