don't usually go out lamping much at this time of year, but the farmer asked if we could have a go at the rabbits seen as the land has finally started to dry out. the enthusiasm to go wasn't really there but we shoot pigeons and corvids on this farm so whatever the farmer says. the land we have been on tonight is grassland on a dairy farm. we started out at 7.30pm and it was a still mild night perfect for the 17hmr. we wasn't out to shoot a really big bag just make a start for the year. we finished at 9 pm with 23 picked and a few more were shot in wet areas that we didn't pick, the resident buzzards can have them. all in all it was worth going out for. after recently ferreting and finding young in the rabbits i am sure most of these will be carrying young so therefore good pest control from the farmers point of view. all of the rabbits will go for reptile/snake food.

forgot to mention some of the rounds fired with a delay :hmm: which was strange. will have to keep an eye on them. they were remington premier.

thanks for reading. aga man.
