Stovepipe
When buying a rotary speed controller, is it important to ask the manufacturer if the unit is waterproof? Thanks guys.
TIGHTCHOKE
Only if you want to bathe with it! If you're worried about getting it wet place it in a sandwich bag to be sure!

fielddweller
Just my opinion...i have one and it stays dry cause its kept in the garage Tried it several times and cant remember any benefit.Best just let them go at full speed, that said might get a BIT more battery time. turbo33
Magtame is miles ahead of the cheapo fleabay ones, real quality. Magtame offer a very cheap, by return service if it breaks down fter the warrenty has run out. Not so with feebay ones. Pay peanuts you get monkeys
JJsDad
I`m with turbo 33. Had mine for about 2 years now and its worked faultlesly despite being slung in the bag with all the other bits ans sat on by the dog plus a number of good soakings. The pleasure of a cheap price quickly fades, but the bitterness of poor quality lingers for a long time.
roebuck243
My Magtame lasted 3 months then packed in! I have fleabay ones too also pack in but most still going strong after 2 years, makes you wonder tho when ones 4 times the price are they worth it , not convinced they are .If you are carefull with the cheap ones they are fine . Agent36
Open a magtame speed controller, then a cheap one. The inside will be the same, a 555 timer and a high power fet......You will pay the extra money for a fancy case. Its not the unit that fails, most of the time it is the abuse from the user.
