brecklandsporter
We are off on holiday to Edinburgh this year, and I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good clay grounds in the area, to shoot 50 or 100 sporting? CPSA lists 4 but they aren't particulary close to Edinburgh... Thank you.
lxtav
Theres Morton clay targets at Livingston just outside edinburgh. Mostly skeet and dtl but does have a compact sporting layout. And the banters pretty good.

Billy.
I stayed at the Dunkled house hotel (I think that what it was called) Clay ground in the grounds, amazing scenery and river next to the hotel. The hotel also has an armory http://www3.hilton.c...HHN/index.html. An hour drive...! Didn't realise it was that far Edited March 12, 2013 by Billy. tignme
Millerhill outside the city towards berwick, dunns further on similar route and cockburnpath(spelling)on similar route. Crosscrows bing near Falkirk and there used to be one on left as you crossed the forth bridge. Its a long time since i shot some of these so may not be there. if you get a chance try Cluny clays at kirkcauldy or furteher on auchterhouse qat Dundee, both excellant grounds as is braidwood going south. central scotland shooting school westerjawcraig is a goodun as well. humperdingle
Another vote for Cluny Clays just outside Kirkcaldy - Only 1/2 hour from the centre of Edinburgh (Not rush hour ) They run a Claymate system, is very relaxed, and you can rent a gun if you have SGC with you, and don't have your gun. Good range of targets. Nice food in the restaurant, too.
