Spiderdude
There are quite a few posts on this including one from me some months back. I ended up sending mine away for refinishing as I couldn't get rid if the staining.
Thunderbird
It goes on its own too if you wait long enough / can't be bothered to treat it
browning123
If you had oiled the stock prior to use rain would not of been a problem. I recently purchased a new silver pigeon 1 and decided to rub the stock down to create my own oil finish, after removing the Beretta finish I completed the stock using the Trade Secret Stock finish kit. The result was great and much better than the original finish - the wood grain detail really stands out. I recommend Trade Secret which I have used successfully for years! welshwarrior
The new Beretta oil has lots of shellac in it that watermarks badly rub it down with 0000 wire wool then wax it with a good quality stock wax and you'll be ok. Or rub it all the way back and refinish it. GMK fixed mine and the next rainy day it did it again so I re did the stock and it looks much better than the factory finished wood grain stands out etc.

glb8686
What do you charge for a stock and for end refinishing? Have you some pictures of your work?
mpk
I stripped with nitromorse, sanded back then multiple layers of tru oil.....its quite a varnishy finish so maybe a oil finish would be better. It then was able to withstand the worse fowling weather.

straightshooter1
by the way stay away from wire wool guys it's horrible stuff gets everywhere and snags as well. you are better off getting the synthetic stuff much better and when rubbed fast gives a really nice finish.
