b16jus
I was of the understanding when full you can simply extend the boxes to add further guns or write further down the certificate but today been told some forces have stopped this. Anyone heard this as my certificate is full and want to know whats the rules now J
955i
Can't be right, how would collectors get on with that?

b16jus
Thats a good point a collector would every year be sending off for a new one. Im confused and **** law Met office shut at 4 so will have to wait until tomorrow to find out if its true and if so how long for turnaround of a new page for the licence J

b16jus
when did you hear this? I was told to just write it on a separate piece of paper Today, aparently they received a letter from MET Police saying this is the new rule Seems crazy esp if they take months to issue a new one J

b16jus
One thing i thought of is its all very well informing RFD that Met no longer allow this but what about private, i could easily get a new gun put onto a friends certificate and then onto mine as a private individual wouldnt know any different J
b16jus
Just spoke to a very helpful guy at BASC who confirmed this is rubbish, it looks like a FEO at MET Police has sent this incorrect letter out so going to try and get hold of it and forward to him so he can take it up. mickmep
when i filled mine up i emailed the licensing office and was told to send it in. i was then sent a nice new one to fill up. only a couple of days turn round as wasn't a variation or renewal. they just transfered the purchases filled in onto the shotguns possessed mines with sussex, other forces may vary, best to phone your feo or licensing office. mossy835
mine was full, and they said i had to send it back for a new one,
Steel100
As a collector it's not an issue. Whenever, I ask (pay!!) for additional variations they simply re-issue a 'new' certificate. I'm astonished if some forces are allowing people to add their own piece of paper. Andy
b16jus
All sorted out. it seems it was a unofficial rule but the Inst in charge contacted the company to ok it but does look like it might come into effect as its there way of trying to stopping dealing.
