30-6
I've never tried it but read many times of cut open rabbits being used to decoy crows and magpies. Has anybody tried this for jackdaws with success ? I can't say i've ever seen jackdaws feeding on sheep carcase or roadkill.

the pigeon man
The best decoy I have come across for crows ect is a ferrit in a open top box with mesh over it ... Try it you will surprised

steve_b_wales
A good tip that I was given by a friend of mine is to insert marbles into the eye sockets( works on rabbits and lambs) The Corvids will go nuts when they see them. I have'nt tried this myself yet, but was assured that it does work. Steve.

30-6
I know it works for crows, but does it work for JACKDAWS ?

eccles
Never had a jackdaw come to anything dead put out as bait in 40+ years of crow shooting, works on carrion and magpies. Rooks and jackdaws are more into seeds, corn etc First thing carrion and magpies go for is eyes and tongue, replacing eyes with a coloured marble does work, the devils cant resist bait with eyes.
