PhilR
We've got micobore pipes, can't remember the diameter off hand. We replace them at the beginning of each season.
adi1210
You need Virkon S or Virex, we flush all our drink lines with this stuff. It's expensive but the best. I have a spare tub if your interested.

Paul223
as above pre rearing season, if you need to flush through during the rearing season then use milton fluid
AmateX
You can use Virkcon S at 1:1000 in the drinking water, there is a guide at the dupont website. http://www2.dupont.com/Virkon_S/en_GB/applications/water_system_disinfection.html
Zapp
If you would be interested I could sell you some of the sterilising solution we use at the brewery if you have the means to pump it through the pipes. It is reusable as long as you keep gunk out of it.

It is reusable as long as you keep gunk out of it. My Girlfriends Dad was at a work do at some hotel. They are all Uni Professors (read: Pissheads) and they where getting sloshed at the bar. The Barman was packing up, but they asked if they could stay for a while longer. Seeing as the hotel was small and empty the barman said okay, he'd do some other jobs and come get them in an hour or so. While the barman was gone they all decided to pour, and drink, themselves a few sneaky free pints. The next day the all woke up feeling like ****, like a hangover on steroids. See if you can figure out what happened.
matth12321
we use very dilute jayse fluid and then rinse them thoroughly then wash them through again with virkon s, we also leave them full of a strong virkon water mix between seasons. JustJon
Virkon can be corrosive to drinker nipples and is a 'bang fizz' - any organic material will stop it working. Works OK for putting in and draining out but specific drinker cleaners are now available to do the job or even use with birds in and ensure water quality. Depends what's wanted.
