bullet boy
A Simmons WTC 3-10x50 scope would be ideal for you and in your budget too. This particular scope is fantastic and excellent value for money.Lovely clear glass and a good alround optic. I would have said a S&B 8x56 scope but that is out of your price range. ATB in whatever you choose.
jimmyb79
I'm looking around at a less expensive scope for my .22lr and like the look of the Simmons. £140 on Amazon, doesn't seem too bad.
joe soapy
I had a mamba on the HMR and found the same, nice scope but heavy. Got a new noname 6 x 40 at the gun show for £20, have not been able to blame the scope for any misses yet and have shot a lot of stuff recently

I totally agree with the above, and this seems a good price. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Simmons-Optics-Whitetail-Classic-3-5-10x50/dp/B000QIJV1K

mick miller
Hmm, the Genesis is way better than a Nikko and most Hawke's if you ask me. The WTC is a great scope and that's a cracking price for one. I had one for years before going the night vision add-on route, and provided it's a genuine Philippines model it should last a lifetime. I completely agree, but personally I prefer Edgar brothers opti-mate scopes to all of the above brands. I've got an optimate fixed 6x44 on my .22lr and just picked up an optimate 6-24x42ao for my .22hornet when I get it. You could get a nice secondhand meopta meopro 4-12x50 for an extra £40-50. I sold mine for £240 posted, fantastic scopes but I don't like big objectives, I have a bad neck and its more natural/comfortable for me to use low mounts so I like to stick to 42/44mm objectives. bikemad24
iv just bought a brand new hawke 2.5x 12 x 56 endurance for £90. for the money its very good but its has no mill dots and no parallax adjustment for my night vision. but i like it so much i dont want to take it off. i think scopes comes down to personal preference and pocket size just try and look through as many as you can. sometimes asking a question on a forum leaves you with more questions than answers
Gregthegreat
+1 on the 3.5-10 Simmons WTC. I've had one on my .22LR for a good 12 years now and it's never let me down or lost zero. For a fair while it was my only rifle and it was getting used and abused nightly for years. I've since bought a 6-20 PA version for my .17HMR which is equally good.
