evo
tonight i decided to go to one of my perms after a whole week of practicing on targets set at 55yrds, as some of you already know i dont normally shoot live quarry further than 40yrds so tonight was to test my shooting to the limit, including my rifle(Huntsman classic .22) and jsb exacts( 15.89gr ). i arrived at my perm at 7pm this evening and was about to test my new IR,I decided not to as i had left my camera at home(how stupid) anyway i walked to the first field and on entering it i noticed a squirrel in the tree 30yrds away approx, i put it in the cross hairs and pulled the trigger and out the tree it came with a thud,i then proceeded to the second field and as i walked into it i noticed three rabbits eating away, two bolted into the hedgeline and one stayed put, i lay down and pulled my bipod legs down as i was guessing it was approx 50yrds away, now to some thats easy but to me this was about to challenge me and my rifle to the limit, i lay there checking and checking to make sure i had not missed anything out like loading the gun and was i sure of the distance, i put the cross hairs 1 1/2 mildots above his head and squeek,d , he lifted up and sat their motionless, i pulled the trigger and it was a perfect head shot,he dropped down and a few twitches later he was dead, i picked myself up and paced out the distance the rabbit was from me, it was 61 paces yes 61 , just as i picked the rabbit up my phone rang and it was the wife telling me to go and bring tea home, i did not have my camera so took the pictures on my phone, anyway i had proved a point to myself that my rifle ,pellets are more than capable of hitting the target over 50yrds so walked back a very happy man thanks for reading,,Evo
