Am I missing something here, the way that reads you dont like motors from "shirebrook nr mansfield" or it's a private joke lol. Dont think the lads got much of a chance to sell it after reading that unless you can clear the above conversation between the two of you's lol.

a lot more reliable than the equivalent landrover though and at £1100 a bargain. from the tyres tou can tell its not done any serious off roading, Rust is easy enough to keep at bay just waxoil them yearly and they keep on running

 

 

I've had a few, currently run an "M" reg Independent. Common rust places are outer sills and under the windscreen, the tracks along the sliding rear windows (not on the Fieldman if course). Mines done 132,000 miles, starts first turn and off you go. Power steering, Turbo Diesel 2.8 litre lump that is so bad that people go to the trouble of putting them in Landrovers for serious off roading.

 

So.......don't know the ins and outs of this story but the Fourtrak is a very rugged, useable 4x4.
